Dwight Schrute regaled us for years with his craziness and his sometimes, misdirected ambition. So, we are making his dreams come true and imagining life if he was boss.
You would work hard
Love him or hate him, there’s no denying that The Office’s Dwight Schrute is a big time workaholic. He’d stay late to finish invoicing, drive to a different state to turn in last-minute paperwork, or forgo bathroom breaks to maximize his productivity while on the clock. And you would have to match his level of work. Be prepared to spend your life working your butt off.
Dwight expects complete commitment
He loves his company so much that he buys the office building in one of the later seasons and actually goes ahead and fixes it up. You are going to love your company as much! You will be expected to be as loyal as he is to his workplace. There would be no shirking work or missing work on weekends.
Jim and Dwight’s competition kept the company running. He would encourage all of you to compete constantly! Be prepared for a rating board at work and if you aren’t doing good, you might lose your job.
He would know your strengths and weaknesses
He knows how to delegate work. He will keep tab on everyone and probably has a file on you somewhere. So don’t think you can get away with hiding anything. The pro is that he will give you work that your good at and you might enjoy doing.
Your office will be clean
Dwight was constantly pushing Jim’s junk off his desk. He was obsessed with keeping his desk clean and organised. Your office would have no junk and your desks would have to be tidy to maximise productivity.
Dwight might not have always been the most fun guy to work with but he certainly brought some “ambition” to the office. Who knows — if you work extra hard, you may even have a bobblehead version of yourself on your desk someday.
If you are looking for a Dwight Schrute kinda boss or even a Michael Scott, we have the best jobs for you.
